WATER AND AIR PURIFICATION PLANTS

Our extensive knowledge of our plants and how they work allow us to go beyond mere application and to think specifically about the environmental factors involved in the operating cycle. Driven by a history of environmental awareness, also in compliance with our environmental policy, the range of DELMET systems includes plants dedicated to purifying the air and water involved in the processing cycle, with the aim of allowing their reuse.

Our company policy is based on strict environmental principles, with particular attention to the impact that the operation of the plants and/or the work carried out may have on the surrounding environment.

The DELMET range is completed with water and air treatment systems that can be sold separately or to complete the pickling and electropolishing systems.

PURIFICATION PLANTS

These come in semi-automatic/automatic and different configurations depending on the daily amount of water to be treated.

The standard configuration of these plants provides for the treatment of acidic rinsing water containing heavy metals in solution, coming from metal surface treatment plants.

This configuration does not provide for the treatment of organic solvents in general, oils, greases, hydrocarbons, surfactants, nitrates and nitrites.
Some of these elements can be eliminated by adding the appropriate optional devices to the standard configuration.

01.

DPP PLANT - SEMIAUTOMATIC

up to 4000 l/day

Compact and quick to install, the DPP series is a valid and affordable solution for purifying daily quantities of water of up to 2000 litres. This plant does not require an additional decanter, the operation involves starting the cycle and manual sludge discharge.
Standard configuration:
  • Neutralisation tank
  • Limewater preparation tank
  • Flocculating agent preparation tank
  • Chemical dosing pumps
Optional devices:
  • Activated carbon
  • Sand/carbon filter
  • Acidic/neutralised water recovery well

02.

DPG PLANT - AUTOMATIC

up to 3000 l/hour

The DPG series provides a definitive solution for all manufacturing companies that consume more than 8000 litres of water per day. This plant requires an adequate decanter for the separation of the solid/liquid phases.
Standard configuration:
  • Neutralisation tank
  • Limewater preparation tank
  • Flocculating agent preparation tank
  • Chemical dosing pumps
  • Centrifugal pump to send treated water to decantation
  • Coagulating agent dispenser
Optional devices:
  • Water storage tank to be purified in PE
  • Water storage tank to be purified in PP
  • Acidifying agent dispenser
  • Activated carbon
  • Acidic/neutralised water recovery well
  • Pneumatic tank loading pump
  • Sand/carbon filter
  • DCT decanter

03.

SCRUBBER PLANT

up to 100,000 mc/h

The scrubber is a particular washing tower that reduces the concentration of substances present in a flow of air and in our specific case acid micropollutants. This equipment is widely used in flue gas purification plants of various types of chemical plants and in particular in stainless steel pickling and electropolishing plants.

The operation of the scrubber is as follows: the gases sucked in by the stainless steel treatment plant by means of localised hoods are introduced from the bottom of the absorption column while the liquid absorber is sprayed from above which hits the air to be "washed".

The particular construction method increases the turbulence of the suctioned flow and thus facilitates the mixing between the gas and the liquid that absorbs the components to be eliminated in this phase.

At the exit of the column a demister allows the separation of the solute, the pollutants, and the solvent, recycling it in the column, which will contain traces of solute. The best solvent is usually water; in fact the solvent must have low volatility, low viscosity and must be not very corrosive, non-toxic and cheap.

OYSTER (optional device)

FILTRATION

OYSTER, allows various types of filtration depending on how the columns present are filled. An appropriate choice and combination of quartzite, glass, carbon, selective resins and other innovative materials allows its use as:
  • final filtration downstream of a chemical-physical water purification plant to eliminate specific polluting elements that vary from customer to customer as well as from process to process
  • direct filtration of water with a low polluting load
  • Production of demineralised water
Water passes through it continuously and, when the water quality monitoring signals values exceeding the established limits, action can be taken to restore its functionality. This operation will generate waste that must be disposed of or treated according to the law but the quantity of which is significantly lower than the quantity of water generated and/or filtered.

DCT DECANTERS (optional device)

There several types of decanters such as lamellar or traditional, and a laboratory test will relveal the best solution.

The separation and precipitation, in the form of hydroxides, of the heavy metals present in the water takes place inside the decanter.

The deposited sludge is extracted from the decanter through the bottom discharge, equipped with a manual valve, while the clarified water skims through the flanged duct located in the upper part of the decanter.
